Message from the President

Hope has always been a necessary and essential element of medicine. A feeling of hope better enables one to face the most difficult of situations.

At the heart of science is the promise of innovation and new methodology by which to overcome our challenges. Natural medicine has so much to offer. However, a lack of quality scientific validation has often limited the progress.

One patient in particular comes to mind when I think of hope. He had two main health concerns. The first being constant low back pain for over 20 years. Three previous surgeries had failed to improve his situation. The second problem was severe nausea from most foods, which lead to vomiting daily. Being restricted to a handful of foods he was very emaciated.

With so much despair in his eyes I felt it necessary to ask whether he had ever considered suicide. He responded saying that for years he wished he could take his life, but was simply too chicken to do so. I was not the only one taken back with his response, as his daughter had sat in on the office visit. How extremely difficult it must have been for her to hear that her father wished to end it all.

I asked him to rub some pain cream (Faster Than Glucosamine) on his low back. Five minutes later after some more questions I asked how his back was. He had a surprised look, as he stated that for the first time in a long time that it seemed to be better. The pain was much less and the edge had certainly been taken off. Most importantly for him there was now good reason to believe that things would improve .

World class scientists have researched Faster Than Glucosamine. The remarkable results in which all of the patients in two osteoarthritis clinical trials benefited, were both published in the highly regarded Journal of Rheumatology. These as well as other published clinical trials provide a wonderful foundation for optimism.
