We Let the Science Do the Talking

Evidence from scientific research is the foundation of all our products, and we are committed to sharing it with you. Informed people make informed decisions about their health and wellness. This is why we at Hope Science will continue to provide educational material to practitioners and the patients they support.

EFAC: Proven Effective and Safe

Esterified oils has been in seventeen clinical studies. Six of the studies were presented at scientific meetings. Six were published including two in the prestigious Journal of Rheumatology.

In 2007 and 2009 studies published in the Journal of Periodontology found esterified oils to be effective against periodontal infections. This is truly a major breakthrough, as there are few if any effective options. Today there are products to limit plaque, but none for the health of the gums themselves.

IP6 Research

The B vitamin-like IP6 is an intracellular messenger, which means that it facilitates communication and therefore interaction between the various organelles within the cell.

Because IP6 functions in this way there are a multitude of effects on our physiology and therefore our health.

The B vitamin inositol, which is the “I” in IP6, is a component of our cell membranes and therefore has pronounced effects on the health of cells. It is primarily for these reasons that there has been so much scientific investigation of IP6 and inositol.

With thousands of research papers on IP6 and inositol we are only able to highlight a few of them for you. You may visit www.pubmed.gov for all the published research.

US Patent Awarded, 2009
As a testament to the importance of all this research, a US patent (#7,612,111) was awarded in 2009 for the unprecedented anti-inflammatory properties of esterified oils. Click here to read the article
EFAC Improves Knee Functions in O.A. Patients, Journal of Rheumatology, 2002
This placebo controlled clinical trial of EFAC as an oral supplement was the first to investigate whether EFAC could be used to treat osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. The overall function of the knees, as well the range of motion improved in the patients receiving EFAC. This very successful study paved the way for the other
Effect of EFAC on Static Postural Stability and Plantar Distribution in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis, Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research, 2005
Data indicated that 30 days of treatment with a topical cream consisting of EFAC without menthol improved static postural stability in patients with knee OA presumably due to pain relief during quiet standing. Knee osteoarthritis patients have trouble standing due to pain and/or stiffness and as a result their balance can be impaired. There is also
EFAC Topical Cream with Menthol Reduces Pain and Improves Functional Performance in Individual with Arthritis, Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research, 2005
Topical cream comprised of EFAC and a minimal amount of menthol (1.25%). This clinical trial was designed to test whether menthol affected the efficacy, since previous tests were conducted without menthol. Patients with either OA of the knee, elbow or wrist were tested. One week of treatment of the cream containing menthol was found to
EFAC vs. Glucosamine, Cochrane Collaborative, 2010
The Cochrane Collaboration is an international, not-for-profit, independent organization that produces and disseminates systematic reviews of health care interventions. It is one of the most respected organization of its type in the world. According to their 2010, issue # 4 Review of Glucosamine, which included 25 studies with 4,963 patients, only one brand of glucosamine
Glucosamine/Chondroitin Arthritis Intervention Trial (GAIT), National Institutes of Health, 2010
Nothing highlights the confusion surrounding Glucosamine better than the GAIT Trial. It was the largest and most rigorous investigation of Glucosamine ever taken place in USA. The trial took place in sixteen universities with 1,583 participants and conducted by the National Institutes for Health.Participants were randomly assigned to one of ten treatment groups: 2 groups received
Tissue Restoration: 1-Tetradecanol Complex Therapeutic Actions in Experimental Periodontitis, Journal of Periodontology, 2009
In the Journal of Periodontology 2009 study, the researchers also revealed that the esterified oils led to the restoration of both connective and osseous tissue! This has major implications. We know of no products, natural or drugs, with this unique property. Esterified oils are the only US patented product of its kind. Now for the
Has Your Current Joint Product Been Shown to Work?
For decades there has been debate over the effectiveness of glucosamine and chondroitin. Many feel that they offer minimum, or no real relief, and that any perceived benefits are a placebo effect. The following study concurs. An analysis, published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), where researchers reviewed 10 trials with over 3800 patients and
