Our Founder And The Experience that Founded Our Mission

When Dr Vanderlinden first started experimenting with the new Active Again cream he had a patient come in that had 3 back surgeries over 20 years and was still in unrelenting pain. The patient told Dr. Vanderlinden in front of his adult daughter that because he had been in pain for so long, that he wanted to end his life, but was just too scared to commit suicide. The doctor had him apply the cream to his lower back while he asked him questions and took notes. After 10 -15 minutes the doctor noticed that the patient's eyes now had some sparkle, and so he asked the patient what was happening? The patient said that despite trying different creams and therapies, that this was the first time in years that he had experienced significant relief. This patient's experience with the Active Again cream is the foundation of why we are called Hope Science. The patient came in talking suicide and but now had hope.... Hence our name HOPE SCIENCE...Real Hope, based on Real Science.

Dr Vanderlinden is also a founder of 3 other health care companies

It is expected/hoped that all 3 will have a major impact on patient care and well being.

Early Detection Inc. www.cancer.us

Dr. Vanderlinden is a founder of the company that has a technology that has detected a cancer marker at the earliest stage, even before a tumor forms. This is far more than a concept, as more than 20 published peer-reviewed studies that included approx. 10,000 patients have been conducted, and the results have shown a high degree of accuracy (sensitivity and specificity). More research is needed, but this technology certainly has the potential to save almost countless lives. Most people know that by detecting cancer early, that the odds of survival increase, however most don't know just how dramatically survival rates increase. For example, the two most common cancers in women and men are breast and prostate, and their 5 year survival rates are 99% for breast and 100% for prostate when found early before spreading or metastasizing.

Lose Your Cool Inc. raynauds.net

The US Raynaud's association estimates that 15 to 30 million Americans have Raynaud's, however only 1 in 5 realize that they have it. Most think that they simply have poor genetics or circulation that is causing the cold and oftentimes painful fingers and toes. Early research indicates that this is the most effective solution. Plus, it is safe and natural way to support healthy circulation.

PerioTX  www.PerioTX.org

Approximately 65 million Americans have periodontal health concerns. Current options often provide limited benefit, take time to use, such as dental trays and or are costly, Early research indicates that this is the most effective oral health solution, and it is safe and natural. Why is oral health so important: Periodontal disease is now known to be associated with a significantly higher risk of heart disease, diabetes and even dementia.

Big John’s Journey: From One Block to Three Miles

Dr. Kim Vanderlinden’s father, known to family as Big John, suffered a severe heel fracture involving five separate breaks. Despite using U.S.-patented glucosamine and consuming large amounts of fish oil for many years, he continued to experience significant pain and stiffness in his heel and ankle. For more than 15 years, his mobility was so limited that he could walk no more than one or two blocks at a time.

As a physician who routinely evaluated emerging research, Dr. Vanderlinden closely followed studies on cetylated fatty acids. When he introduced Big John to Active Again pain cream and capsules, the results were unexpected. After just three days of topical application to the heel and ankle, Big John noticed an additional benefit — stiffness in his hands had noticeably diminished. More importantly, after just over four weeks of consistent use, he was able to walk three miles without pain or stiffness.

Physicians understand that pain and stiffness can fluctuate over time, occasionally improving or worsening without a clear explanation. However, a transition from barely being able to walk to sustained three-mile walks after 15 years of limitation was neither coincidental nor attributable to environmental factors. The recovery was striking and reinforced the clinical relevance of the research behind Active Again.

For Dr. Vanderlinden, this experience was pivotal. While published research does not always translate into meaningful clinical outcomes, his father’s transformation provided real-world confirmation that the peer-reviewed data on cetylated fatty acids was both valid and impactful.
